This message keeps popping up: SL plugin.exe stopped working.

The message comes up and it says WIndows is checking for a solution but there isn't a solution and it suggests that I log out. I have Windows Vista. 

What can I do to fix it?

I'm tempted to say that you ought to upgrade your OS from Vista to something more modern, but SL viewers do still run on Vista.  Check to be sure that you have created an exception for slplugin.exe in both your firewall software and your anti-virus routine.  If either of them block the plugin, it will fail.

If that doesn't work do a Clean Install of the current Linden Lab SL viewer.

Try this:  Open Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Services.  Look for the service SLplugin.exe.  Stop any and all instances you find.  There may be several of them.

Then reboot your computer and re-log.
