Login failed the last 4 days and i dont know why ?

Did your login die when viewer was 'updating friends list'?   If so, you are not alone.  I am suffering the same as well as an unknown number of accounts.  I have submitted two support tickets but as yet have not had a response.  If you research the issue and find offered solutions, those tried have been unsuccessful to this point.  Please submit a support ticket to SL.  I am an 'honored (yet basic) resident but don't how much weight that holds with Tech Support.  Good Luck

honored, advisor, contributor, helper... and so on, makes no differnce at all, it aren't levels of membership.

The only thing that changes support is being premium or concierge (= paying at least for half sim )

 

I already said earlier, it is very strange LL didn't mention this problem at all yet, so it is not impossible it's not on their end, but somewhere between their servers and you. Can be a data center or isp. This issue won't be solved before that's clear.

The clue to loggin problems is the message that you get. It might not mean much to you but may to someone here so edit your post to add the exact message you get when you try to log in.

A couple of things you can try, use a cable to connect to your Internet instead of wireless, log into a different location.

As posted previously,

I am also experiencing the same problem. I sent a support case to get the response

'After reviewing your account i can detect no holds or issues with Second Life that would prevent you from logging in'. 

This response is worrying as i have seen multiple people complain about this same issue and i do not believe it is a fault from my end as I and many others can log onto thier alt accounts.

I have reopened the support case hoping LL will recongize this error as I have spent a lot of time and funds into my account and i would deem it very unfair if i was unable to carry on using it.

For anyone else that sent support tickets did LL say the same thing or reply with with any kind of solution ?

you can reopen the ticket, but if the bug isn't on LL side you won't gain anything with keeping resourses of support busy with yours,.

Contact your ISP to check the lines or their providers, that will be more usefull.

For any of you that get stuck at the friend's list, submit a support case as follows. If enough people use the same verbiage, LL might come to understand that they've got a larger scale problem.

File a support case here...

Select "Account Issue" from the first drop-down and "Second Life Viewer Login Issues" from the second. Fill in the required information and copy/paste the following text...

Login failed. Updating friends list. Note: many others are having this same problem.

Into the "What is the error message" box.

Then click "Submit" and hope for the best!
