Hi Kayla!

Jincz is probably thinking about an earlier system where you had to Age Verify.  You no longer need to do this.  The date of birth you entered when you signed up is considered proof of age. Also, you do not need to register payment information to access Moderate or Adult content.

However, you DO need to set your Maturity Preferences in three separate places.  Assuming you are 18 or older, change the following to G,M,A:

  1. In your Preferences (CTRL+P, General tab)
  2. In Search (CTRL+F)
  3. In the Marketplace section of this website.

Occasionally, people will have a problem with one or more of these settings, and the choices will be grayed out, even if you are over 18.  If this is happening to you, file a Support Case with LL.  Use Account Issue as the issue type.  They can uaually clear it up within a couple of days.

Note that if your account is new, under 30 days or so, you may still be excluded from a number of popular Adult areas.  This is a choice on the part of the owners of those areas.  Some people make throwaway accounts and use to them to annoy others.  By excluding very new avatars, the owners of these venues are seeking to cut down on these unwanted visitors.  It's nothing against you personally, you'll be welcomed when you have met the time-in-SL restriction.

There is no place to go, just the checkboxes you descriped. There is also no age verification anymore (as one answer given). The age verification was removed like 4 years ago now. You don't need a payment info, that's two different things. But sometimes the data that is stored about your account is incorrect and needs an adjustment by an LL employee. You need to contact the support for that. https://support.secondlife.com/contact-support/

LL did away with age verification about four years ago. You give them your correct age when you set up your account. If you ever have a problem, they may do a real verification at that point. I suggest submitting a support case to address your problem. They may ask you to provide photocopies of legal documents that will confirm your age.
