How? You don't really give us any way to help.

You've installed a media stream, good job. It's replaced the media at your home (which it should do, by design).

Unfortunately the new radio station is dead (as many are - Internet radio is transitory) - and your last media stream wasn't saved.

Your options seem to be:-

  • Set the media stream of your property manually to one that is broadcasting.
  • Use the working radio to find a stream that is broadcasting.

We can't help with either of these. You'll have to figure out the radio for yourself, and choosing a stream that you like is your responsibility, too.

Bye bye.

Most radios have scripts that either

1) Offer a station based on the contents of an included Note Card [NC]

2) Access an external database that maintains a list of stations by genre.

In the case of the first option you can usually update the NC with current information. Here is how to get that information:

OBTAINING CURRENT MUSIC URLs

Take a look at www.shoutcast.com to id stations that are playing content you want to hear.

Then Lets say you want Nature Sounds...

Go to

http://www.shoutcast.com/radio/Nature

Pick any MP3** stream link and right-mouse click on it. Select the Save target as... ????.pls to your desktop. Open it with any text editor. Inside you will see something like the following:

[playlist] numberofentries=1 File1=http://88.80.200.195:8000 Title1=(#1 - 13/80) stream.silent.li organic relax radio: nature sounds Length1=-1 Version=2

The Land URLs is the http://....at File=1

In this example http://88.80.200.195:8000

So in this case do: World / About Land / Sound / and set the Music URL: to http://88.80.200.195:8000

Good Listening to you!

P.S. ** It's important that you pick a station broadcasting streaming MP3 because the FMOD service that comes with SL only recognizes and supports this method.
