Dresden 14
So, my sister requested that I find some internet radio stations which we could add to the radio which I placed in her house. Now, I usually do my best to put off the things my sister requests of me for as long as possible... but, in this instance, I was more than happy to follow her directive immediately. So, since I went through the trouble of choosing which stations I think my sister would enjoy, I figured I'd share them with my fellow SL residents...Classic Christmas = http://108.61.73.118:8124Christmas Mix = http://108.61.73.120:11082Country Christmas = http://108.61.73.120:14116The Cutting Edge of Christmas = http://listen.shoutcast.com/CuttingEdgeofChristmasChristmas Standards = http://108.61.73.115:8118Tis the Season = http://68.168.101.146:8584Chroma Christmas = http://148.251.184.14:8044Radio Noel = http://192.81.248.194:8028Hawaiian Christmas Radio = http://198.178.123.23:8322Christmas Swing = http://108.61.73.115:8120Cool Christmas = http://173.193.9.69:7286Naughty Santa! The last few years, the station I normally listen to while driving has started playing Christmas music before Thanksgiving as a few others seem to have done. I like listening when I'm decorating or wrapping presents just to set the mood. We'd also have it playing on Christmas Eve when the family is over. I like it, just not too much of it.

Well, that's the problem, part of it. We get inundated. For a solid month plus, we can't go into a shopping without being regaled by Paul McCartney singing the most horrible Christmas song ever. I DO actually like some Christmas music, but it's a pretty short list, and a lot of it isn't modern. I'm planning to start listening to Handel's Messiah soon, though. That's a "Christmas song" for me.

Many years ago, when I was a senior in high school, I played viola in a baroque chamber orchestra and we performed Bach's Christmas Oratorio at several local churches that holiday season. 1

Do I know this his Christmas Oratorio? (She asked herself, rhetorically.) I really like Bach, so I'll need to check this out! Thank you! I'm very jealous that you played viola. A favourite symphony, Berlioz's Harold in Italy (NOT Christmas music) is for viola.

Ceka Cianci 8,030
Try here, Type Christmas in the upper right hand corner search. you'll have to download the station to a media player on your desktop and then get the server address from the file..there should be a place in the media player to get file info..you'll find the server address in there.. https://directory.shoutcast.com/ Edited December 6, 2020 by Ceka Cianci

My typical plan of action each year is to visit all my favorite stores. They usually have seasonal music playing so I copy their stream slurls and use them at home. I use this method throughout the year actually. You've saved my not only time but probably money!
