I cannot view or edit profile. System keeps saying connection refused when I attempt to view profile

I imagine by the time I've gotten to respond to this the issue has fixed itself already~  On the off chance it hasn't, restart your computer and your router.

Use an external Internet Viewer to edit your profile. Clearly the internal Internet Viewer is having issues for you.
