Screen is flashing black like a strobe light almost constantly all of the sudden.

Oh, my.  You may have fried that poor graphics chip.  It was never designed to handle the sort of heavy load that SL puts on it.



It does just barely meet the Minimum requirements, but it was designed for light office use.  If you have been using it heavily, you may have damaged it.  Take it to a professional.
