Question

I've been a ball of smoke for hours now. I've had some issues in the past but they were fixed by simply shutting down my PC & switching back on again. Recently i've been experimenting with shapes & fashions & i'm wondering if i went over some sort of capacity having changed myself so many times this week. Any ideas peoples?

That's unlikely.  Bake fail is usually a temporary issue, easily cured by one of the methods described here >>> http://wiki.phoenixviewer.com/fs_bake_fail  .  If yours persists, you probably have an unreliable Internet connection.  I'd suggest, as a start, rebooting both your router and your modem by unplugging them from the power for a few minutes, then plugging them back in and restarting everything.  Also, if you have been using a wireless connection, get off it if you can.  Many people have no trouble at all with wifi, but it is not supported by Linden Lab.  The same is true, but even more so, for satellite connections.
