my email is no longer valid cant change it. just takes me back to sent instruction to email

normally you will only have to give some information and they will send a confirmatio to your new email adress.

I can't think about another reason than your pw isn't correct. If you have it saved it's possible you didn't save it there after last change. SL website stores the pw on more than one file.
