I am unable to view or edit my profile, I get a notification saying connection refused.

Question

I am unabke to view my profile web page. I get a notification saying The device or resource is not set up to accept connections on port "The World Wide Web service (HTTP)".  This had not happened before the viewer update.

Everything else works fine. I only get this message when attempting to view my profile page and certain help pages in SL.

My LAN settings are fineI have no problems with any other aspect of SL. just unable to connect to the profile page.

Probably something wrong with your Internet settings. Try going to Control Panel/Internet Options. Click on the Connections tab and then on LAN settings. There are 3 tick boxes. By default they would all be un checked. If any are checked try unchecking it. You may need to reboot for the change to take effect.
