Why can't I talk to any of the support staff?

Uhm, you forget to state any information on why you need to reach support or what you have tried to reach them. How should someone answer, if nobody knows whats so troublesome?

Some of LL support, the one for billing concerns, can be reached by phone. And if you are premium member you can contact live chat.

If you are talking about the people that work the support tickets, then the reason is there are too many people in SL to allow that.  The support staff would never get anything done if they had to be on the phone all the time with people who want to talk to them.

As stated, if you are premium you can use live chat.  If you are not premium you aren't paying for any support so you have a very limited number of issues you can file a ticket for.

If you are not premium, ask your questions here.  There are a number of residence that volunteer here with a vast knowledge of SL and they may be able to help you.

Aside from the Live Chat people and the folks in the Biiling OIffice, none of us speaks to Linden support staff.  That's not the way it works.  There are 50,000 + of us and a handful of them.  If you have a problem, you ask here or you submit a support case.  A really high percentage of the time, we can answer your question here faster than you can get a reply from a support case, unless you have a question about your account. ( We have more in-world experience than they do too, especially with third party viewers. )
