Is there a way to script a physical land pass?

Is there a way to create an object that a guest pays that then automatically adds them to the land as a paying guest with a timed pass?

That's an interesting idea.  You should be able do it with llAddToLandPassList.  Just script your object as a vendor, as if you were selling some item, but use llAddToLandPassList to set a timed period for access instead of using llGiveInventory to transfer an item.

Hey Rolig,

Yes, I had seen that script but as I am not a  scripter I wasn't sure as it was working lol. Also, I don't think it shows in land settings when someone has purchased a pass. But I think you're right. I am going to continue to test it out and expand on this script. Thanks so much for your help!

Don't pay attention to the script in the wiki except as an example of how the function can be used.  Your own script can be very simple, nothing more than a vendor script that temporarily adds a person who pays and sends you an IM to let you know about it.
