I would like to use blender in tandum with SL. Is there a way(s) to do this?

When you make a mesh model, you need to upload it to SL as a .dae file, using the uploader in SL.  The SL uploader does the work of interpreting the .dae file in SL.  You cannot export the .dae file directly into SL from Blender, Maya, 3dMax, or any other modeling program.
