derendering

How do I derender or turn of laser beam lights in sl. i can derender or deactivate anything else but not those beams hand held lasers people wear in the clubs.

CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+=, does not work, and the item cant be right clicked on because it is flailing around wildly!

It depends on what they are.  If they are a particle effect, try CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+=.  If they are an object, right click the beam and choose more/more/Derender/Temporary, if you are using the Firestorm viewer.

Or you can do what I do...don't go to clubs with people who brandish lasers.  Or particle poofers or HOOOOOOO gestures.
