It's not a "drive" that is outdated. It's the drivers-- the software that supports your graphics card. Drivers are typically updated by each manufacturer a few times a year. If you are more than a couple of updates behind, your system is less and less capable to handle coded graphics data that it receives over the Internet from places like Second Life. After a while, some of those systems simply won't work. Hence, that error message. So, update your drivers.
