Hi everyone! I'm Janus. It's nice to meet you all.

At the risk of seeming like every other novice topic that asks how to make friends, I'd really just like to put out there that I'm interested in meeting others of similar interests.

I've done what many recommend, which is to go to places that pertain to my interests, and explore like crazy. Well I've sunk quite a few hours doing that, and what I've found is that either my free time doesn't seem to line up when the English speaking world is on SL, or the few people I do find are not at all interested in talking to people they don't already know. The cliques I've encountered have closed ranks, so even if I wanted to say something to them, they just ignore me.

So for anyone else looking to make friends, here's some info about me:

I am a fairly geeky person who enjoys tabletop roleplaying (Like Pathfinder and D&D), fantasy and sci-fi novels, true crime and investigative shows. I like many cult movies, and I enjoy foreign films. Halloween is my favorite holiday, and I love horror films. I like listening to lots of EDM, but I have fairly eclectic tastes ranging from underground rap to even mainstream pop. I like comic books, and my favorite super hero team is the X-Men. I'm a parent of a young child, and am currently married. I'm a creative writing graduate, and I've self-published an LGBT fantasy adventure novel. When I say I'm "sort of new", I mean that I've been touch and go with Second Life for years, but never really had the proper hardware or patience to learn about it as I do now.

If you think we could be friends, go ahead and send me a message! :)
