My partner can not see me when signed in

When you are loged in, open his profile.  Then click the gear icon at the top right.  I belive the right menu is Preferences. (maybe permissions?)  Check or uncheck the ones that apply.

No matter what viewer I am on, I can not see my partner. If i log into a different avatar, I see him fine. All the settings are the same, anyone know how to correct this or is it an sl issue?
