How to add a texture (wallpaper) AROUND a window?

I am trying to put antique wallpaper in my old stone house, and the wallpaper texture and border will NOT align from wall to wall. Not only that, but the wallpaper covers the entire section of wall I'm working with - yes, I select "select face". But it does no good. The wallpaper covers everything on that square. THEN, I cannot get it off. Okay, so I deal with the mistake by just derezzing and starting over, but the wallpaper doesn't align at all. What am I doing wrong? Thanks!

Sounds like the window is part of the original wall texture.

To add around a window, the walls have to be separate from the window. As long as the window is actually a part of the wall texture...a portion alpha'd out, it won't work.

Yea, I finally figured that out.  I guess I need to make sure that the windows aren't part of the walls of any future houses I purchase.  Thanks guys!
