Hello forum members

lately ran into problems with uploading unrigged mesh

The issue is that the faces are different while it's the same rigged file with weights ticked off

Uploading on FS or the LL viewer made no difference

Any ideas what it could be?

  • 2 weeks later...

a screenshot of me uploading rigged or ticked off weights unrigged should not be needed hehe

it's just when ticked off, materials assigned as in blender are the same just the facenumbers are different (from the same file)

example

metal face 0 on rigged

on unrigged suddenly face 4

same amount of faces but different numbers

will just upload in parts...

Sounds like a bug to me. Surely face numbering should not depend on whether a mesh is rigged or not. Can you give us a list with, for each material: name, order in Blender (or whatever) material list, face number inworld? There might be a clue there. Can you see the same effect if you use just a simple 6-sided cylinder with the same materials on it, listed in the same order? Does changing the material names (to make new alphabetical order), and/or their order in the list, make any difference to the face numbering, in the cases of rigged or unrigged? Is this a new effect? There were changes in material hadling in the latest viewer release.
