1 it doesn't ask for pw or any info by mail

2 it leads you to a real website ( verify the adress)

3 after checking the website you have to log in yourself (unless you been so uncarefull to let the browser remember the login, this is a security breach by yourself)

4 you have to remove(!) not add paymentinfo

5 still able to check the website

6 add new payment info ..

 

how much security you want?... this are more steps than a normal secure bank....

Hi Sarah,

I think it's poor form to post a link in any e-mail dealing with financial matters. You're not the only one to raise suspicions over it. When I get such poorly crafted e-mails, I do NOT use the included links, choosing instead to use my bookmarks.

In this case the e-mail is real, though I understand your suspicion.

That link does not go to the Second Life web page, but to a Facebook page.

You can check the assertion made in the email safely by manually browsing to your SL Dashboard page, logging in, and checking your credit card information.
