I know the Reseller Programm of Imvu has already endet, but maybe somebody knows another way to trade them?

Syo's answer is spot on. However, if you can sell those IMVU credits for USDs somewhere else on the Internet then do so and use the USD proceeds to buy lindens. This would be done completely outside of the SL Grid. The legality of this may also depend on the country you are from as well.
