How do i take a pic of my avatar and put it for my profile pic? Also can you save pics of your avatar to photobucket? If so, how?  Thank you for the help.

Sadly you have not told witch viewer you use.

In the New viewer the only possible solution is to save it to your website go to secondlife.com in your profile and upload it.

If you take a snapshot inworld of your avvie, using the settings to save to your harddrive and to save as a BMP, JPG or PNG (anything but TGA), you can then browse for it from your webprofile to add it.

You can upload any pics from your HD to Photobucket if you have an account there.

You can take a snapshot by pressing ctrl+` (goes straight to your hard drive with default settings, or the settings you used last)

you can open the snapshot control (which has several options) and chose to save the snapshot to your inventory, send it via e-mail, or to your hard drive., you can access this by the button on your bottom toolbar (right click and put a check next to snapshot if not showing) from the world menu, or by ctrl+shft+s. 

Note that saving a picture inside of SL costs 10$L, but downloading it to your computer is free (and lets you take higher quality pictures too!) once a snapshot is on you computer you can upload it to photobucket of any other website you choose.

Um, Mr. Gilruth, I believe either your answer is fundamentally wrong, or I am misunderstanding you.

Rather, as Miss Peewee Musytari and Miss Void Singer have said, there are various ways to take a photo in world which save the photo to your computers hard drive. From there you can then upload the photo to your profile and to photobucket and to any other media platform you may wish to use.

I hope I clarified this, and if I misunderstood you, I apologize.

@mzqueen49, there are various ways to get to your profile, you can right-click your avatar and select profile from there.

To change the pic, click on Edit Profile button and then "change" next to the picture. Browse for a picture on your computer you want to use and upload it.
