When I opened up his profile, I noticed that his registration date was the 27th of febuary, 2011. Even though he signed up in 2011, somehow he managed to get a last name in the registration process. I asked him how he got it and he told me they gave him the option to choose it upon registering. I've seen a few other people like this in world on separate occasions. I know it wasn't a display name because my viewer doesn't have support for that. Is it possible to choose last names again? 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I am not sure how many of them are still active, or for how much longer. They are just like LL registration with a couple of things missing, like you don`t pick an avvie and they don`t ask a security question, but aside from that they work just like the one LL had before the name list vanished. Stormm Firecaster Posted March 21, 2011 Share Posted March 21, 2011 I think it's great there is a way to sign up to SL and choose a last name. I wish it had never been taken away in place of display names and instead gave an option to choose either the display name function or last name or something along that line. Last names to me at least help define who you are, I am Stormm FIrecaster, it helps to add a realness that just doesn't seem the same as just Stormm for me though I did grab Stormm when the display name occured, I just find I do not identify with her as I do Stormm Firecaster.
