Is anyone able to upload images in Mac OSX 10.10.5

This has been broken for me for most of 2015. I cannot upload anything in Mac OSX, and have taken to using protable drive to carry files over to a PC and upload from there. That severely complicates my workflow...

I have tried the solution of changing finder to view files as list or detail - this worked in 2014, but stopped working sometime earlier this year.

If there is anyone still able to upload images in OSX, please let me know how you managed to overcome this, or if you never had this, some info about your system, setup, etc that I can try and replicate.
