Your question is unclear, but I assume you just mean a "video that I've taken inside of Second Life". I can't see any issue with monetising "casual" content, but then I'm not a videographer, nor am I likely to star in your video or have my content featured within it.

You should use the best practice as recommended when taking videos of other peoples' intellectual property, according to local copyright regulations. For example, if you're planning on 'reviewing' products or otherwise heavily featuring the work of specific creators on-camera then this would be a substantially more-grey area.

TL;DR, there's no rule that says yes or no to this in regards to Second Life. Whether Youtube, copyright agencies or specific creators have issue with you monetising videos of their content is outside the scope of this Answers section.

Take care.

Hi Sazza,

Here's LL's SL machinima policy...

http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linden_Lab_Official:Snapshot_and_machinima_policy

If you meet the requirements set out there, you're probably okay to do as you wish on YouTube. That said, a prolific SL machinimator was recently banned from YouTube for publishing hundreds of videos that used copyrighted music for the soundtracks.

Watch your step!
