Why does my screen keep flashing?

I recently had my computer fixed by Best Buy because I had a lot of viruses and malware in it.. This is my first time in months that I have been on SL, and now my screen keeps flashing like every couple of seconds. What should I do??

Hi Rainne,

You'll have to tell us more about your computer, and the nature of the problem. Come back to your question and edit it (via "Options" over there on the right).

Based on what little you've said, I'll at least suggest that you make sure your graphics drivers are up-to-date and you're running the latest version of your particular viewer.

Also please clarify if it is the whole screen flashing or just the SL viewer.

I'm having the same issue, my computer is from best buy. Did they update any drivers or software for you? I've been reading up on this for days and so far I've found that with Windows 8 or 10 people are complaining of this issue. Someone else mentioned it might be a failing power supply but my computer is very new (just a few weeks old) so I am thinking it's got to be a malfunction between the OS and SL - it happens on other SL viewers I've also tried.
