No, no. Viewer 2 is confusing. The "classic viewer" was fine. And this watered down "basic" mode is beyond terrible...There are no landmarks, no menus, and key board shortcuts (such as Control-Alt-Y and Control-Shift-R) don't even work...so I just walked around, as a cloud, in the dark (Oh, and textures don't load either.)

Well, basic mode means: NO MONEY, NO VOICE, NO INVENTORY^^

it gets worse.... you have to relog to get out of it.... I just had a friend accidently D/l the beta, after having been away for several months.... and she was confused as heck.... couldn't do anything, couldn't pull up anything, or follow any instructions for how to do something as simple as opening inventory..... because the viewer wouldn't let her.

fortunately I figured out pretty quick that she'd grabbed the wrong version, and could tell her how to get out of that mode.... but still.
