No, it's a problem in your Internet connection.  It has nothing to do with your bandwidth, but if you look at your Statistics Bar (Shift + CTRL + 1), you'll see that either the Packet Loss is high or (more likely) you have an excessive Ping Time.  SL residents who live far from Linden Lab's servers in California and Texas or who are using a satellite connection have this problem all the time, and there's not much they can do about it.  If it takes too long for a signal to travel between your computer and SL's servers, they will not be in sync.  You will experience lag, movement issues, and frequent disconnects.
