sounds like the graphics aren't responding. Reinstall the drivers form the manufactores website again (after deinstall the old ones)

might help.

And/or reset your connection if you didn't after installing the new OS

Thank you, Alwin Alcott. Husband uninstalled and reinstalled viewer and drivers, reset connection, and now everything works fine.
