Who cares?  You can't change other people's behavior, only your own.  The world is a big place, and you do not have to stay in the corner that is middle school.  Find yourself a better class of friends and move on.

When I begin to perceive a group, the first thing I ask myself is whether there actually is one. I often find that it's my perception that creates the groups, not the people I think are in them.

I've found that most people in SL are nice, so there are plenty of alternatives to those you find objectionable. And as Seana and Rolig have suggested, it's easy to ignore/block/escape the jerks. Many of us, including me, feed on attention. Deny them that and they'll wither. So, deny the jerks your attention and lavish it on your friends.
