Question

I am highly Unsatisfied with this website. So far all it has been is a money pit of disasters and disappointment. I would love to have my money refunded, will you do this or are the producers of this site too greedy to even give back around 20$ of purchases?

Your money probably went to a wide variety of people and not to Linden Lab, the "producers of the site." Linden Lab is in no position to refund anything to you.

The fact that you're calling it a "website" at all suggests you don't really know how things work around here. If you politely ask questions in the main part of this forum you may find people who can help you overcome your "disasters and disappointment." Many of us here have had  our share of both yet we keep coming back.

What website? This one here? You are not paying anything to write or read any content on this website.

Oh...you mean Second Life, which is a virtual world and not a website? Well, its also free to use and can be enjoyed with investing no money at all. So every transaction you made was your very own decision, which, as an responsible adult, you should always think carefully about. Of course you did that, right?

Since Second Life is a virtual world with its own economy and content 100% provided by other users, the company who runs the severs and provides the software (Linden Lab) can not refund you on anything. You didn't paid LL, you brought content from other people.

And there is absolutly no ground on which you can expect anything to be given back to you. You made purchases and those are not revokeable. So grow up and don't rant over 20 bucks...and next time think before you spend money (thats a good advice in all life situations).

And...we are just residens like you, you aren't going to find any staff from Linden Lab here.

In a perfect world, your request would be granted.

Unfortunately this is not a perfect world (and I mean both real life and any virtual world you happen to be in).

When you sign up for Second Life, there is the option to have a basic account or a premium account.  The basic account lets you access Second Life in exactly the same way as premium members, more or less, and I would always recommend trying something out for free before plunging in with both feet and a hopeful wallet.

I am sorry that you have been disappointed with your experiences so far. Second Life isn't for everyone, but it can be a very fulfilling and rewarding and absorbing hobby/interest/pastime. Are you sure you have given it enough of a chance?

hey there

Frustrating i am sure

Back when casinos were banned  people who had spent hundrends of thousands  set up the casino got nothing

The reason is made clear in the End Users Legal agreement(EULA)  that you agreed to in order to enjoy second life.

Everying created in SL  is the property of Linden Labs

You are (in effect) just renting it

This is the is the the stand in most programs like Second life

As for you you feel,  Linden Labs had nothing to do with that

Second life is a tool to enjoy

There are not going to back you back just because you dont enjoy it

Now one thing you can get back is your lindens   just sell them  but if you dont have payment info on file then you cant.

Am curious if you ever dowloaded one of the reqiired secondlife viewers and did login into the virtual world. you talk about a website, tht would sugget you never did looked into the virtul world. After you in the virtual world you need to take time to explorer look around and discover all the thngs you can do.
