alpha blending problem

Recommended Posts

What you are seeing is the alpha sorting bug. You may know about this already. When two or more textures with transparency are rendered in the same line of sight you will get this kind of effect. The only way to be sure you won't get this effect (when layering is desired) is to have only one texture with transparency layered  over other textures that have no transparency.

For hair that has transparent elements, I've seen creators use careful layering of some parts of the hair with transparency over a base of non-transparent hair prims or mesh.
