I wish I could tell you something helpful but all I can say is that VWR-11397 has never really been looked at. It was posted in the release notes by accident and not implemented or even considered... Well, there might be some good news. If mesh import ever leaves the beta test and is introduced as a real feature, then some savy creators eventually create meshes for smaller avatars or tinies. But I wouldn´t hold my breath while waiting for Linden Lab improvements....

actually you'll look like you to them too... they just won't be able to do the same thing (the visual effect is backwards compatible, but the inventory type is not.)
