I've been visiting the Japanese sims, looking around to see how the owners are doing, if they survived the tsunami. Some are empty and I hope the people are alright. They must be going through a devastating experience.

One of my favourite Japanese areas:

Also Japan Tempura is very beautiful:

Did anyone else notice how we temporarily gained, and then lost again, the ability to search Japanse kanji in the SL search engine? During the brief time we were able to this made it much easier to explore Japanese sims.

I noticed we'd lost the ability to search for kanji just the other day when the urge to go exploring hit.

Anyways, more on topic, I've enjoyed wandering around this sim lately.

Miyagawacho Hanamachi, (Shrine River Flower Town) with it's narrow streets and mix of traditional and modern buildings, mirroring Kyoto province right here in SL.The market place with it's food stalls and Ramen cafe, the Sake bar, the Sumo wrestling arena and the picturesque gardens.Add to this, the Geiko (Geisha) of Hanafusa Okiya with their pleasant demeanour and winning smiles and you have the perfect day out.

Riksha to miyahawacho Hanamachi
