How long has it been going on?

That message is sometimes just temporary and if you persist you eventually get in.

Occasionally it is the start of a bigger problem on the grid and we get a blog from LL saying that some people are experiencing login problems and they get their hammers out.

Try changing your start location and logging in to a different sim, like "Smith".

 

EDIT: I just remembered its Friday and LL are banging things with their hammers today regarding inventory.
