Old computer Win7, everything worked. New computer Win8.1 and HUDs don't work.

I had a computer with Win7, 6GB RAM and had a lot of fun in SL. But, I lost internet in January and had to quit playing. In February I got a new computer - Win8.1 w/ 12GB RAM. Now none of the HUDs are working. The two that I REALLY want to get working are Vista's Hot & Spicy AO (it's off and the power button doesn't work) and Ultimate dance HUD.

I've installed the latest version of SLV and Firestorm viewer - same problem with both viewers. I tried a complete reboot and the problem remains.

 

Edit: You were right - it was a no-script zone. I was ONE step off the porch of my "Premium User" home and into the common area. I don't remember that having been a no-script area the last time I was there (months ago). Once I stepped back onto my porch, everything worked as it should (sorta... but the remaining problem is related to about two dozen (out of probably hundreds of) animations that used to work but now don't for some reason)

you will have to look at another solution, huds and the operating system of your machine have no connection at all

perhaps you'r on a no script zone, or should reset the script in the huds,

right click /edit and than choose the build menu in your viewer / scripts /reset
