You can't use the SL Marketplace website to sell your RL products, but as far as I know you can use models of them and advertise them in world.

I know of at least two SL stores that sell products both in RL and in SL.

There were several major RL corporations that tried this...Coke, Nike, Ben and Jerrys, L'Oreal...they decided it wasn't working for them, but a small business and a clever, creative person may find ways to make it work.

The section of the MP listing guidelines that Lindal is refering to is the part that says...

Disallowed Actions

The following actions are disallowed. Note that these actions are disallowed by the Second Life Terms of Service, and are restated here for clarification.

  • Listings for Real-World Goods or Services. The SL Marketplace is only for digital content and services that are designed and intended for use with the Second Life virtual world technology. We expressly prohibit the listing or sale of any and all goods or services designed or intended to be delivered in the real world, for example, delivered in person or mailed or shipped to a physical address, or digital content designed or intended for use exclusively outside of Second Life.

You might want to read the full set of guidelines to see what else you should be aware of.

Since the above answers are focusing mostly on the Marketplace, I'd like to emphsize that you can use in-world land that you own for any purpose you like. If it's rented land, you'll need to OK it with your landlord, but Linden Lab has no specific rules against advertizing anything outside of Second Life, so long as it fits within the region rating and community standards.

The mentioned limitations are specific to the web-based Marketplace only, which is only for the selling of virtual goods and services.
