When trying to teleport, I go offline? Never had this problem ever.

When I log on sl without fail I can tp anywhere I want at least once.  After that I can't tp anywhere not even to my home where there is no lag.  I wait for it and it doesn't "fail" or "Crash"  it does the whole, "You are now offline would you like to quit or read IMs"  thing.  It is so annoying... I can't even play.  It's been like this for ever.  I am using the newest phoenix viewer.  I have tried the SL viewer and I lag so hard I can't even move lol.  I've been playing SL for almost 2 years now and never had this problem.

I checked my firewall - fine

Internet connection - fine  All signals strong and low ping

bandwidth lowered - still no luck

History/group - cleared still no luck

reinstall the viewers - no luck

detracted prims/scripts - no luck

 

I have no idea what else to do... any suggestions?

Try disabling HTTP GetTextures in the advanced menu >> rendering

That commmand also appears in preferences >Phoenix >page 2 >graphics  so check that both are disabled if they don`t automatically cancel each other.

something else to try which has 'cured' some other crashing issues - Prefs > Graphics > Hardware Options untick VBO ok/apply then re-log or you can do this before logging in

Two things you might want to try. First once you have logged in successfully detach anything that is scripted, wear only the basics except hair (if it is scripted). Try to tp around, if you are now able to tp without a problem then one of the objects you are wearing is heavily scripted and is causing you to crash on tp.

If that fails, it might be your router, might be time to get a new one
