I've gone ahead and updated the license files in the avatar clothing templates and avatar model files linked in the wiki here:

http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Clothing_Tutorials

The new license should correspond to http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/legalcode

You can see a summary of the license here: http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/

Let me know if there are any further questions or concerns!

Just a quick question... I plan to release a series of http://www.filterforge.com/ filters based upon the bump maps, and I would like to publish the original .j2c images converted to black/white .PNG maps as well as deritvitive images (including masks) that would make such filters useful to the Second Life community. Would you know if those bump maps are also under the CC 3.0?

Romaq with what you got in mind you stay within the licence of FF itself, at any time The update that nyx posted was pretty much just related to the licence of the SL base avater mesh itself and nothing else. Since an update on the Avatars Mesh license has been requested by many creators that do rely on it for their meshes (for example adaption for clothes based on the SL Avatar)

If you want to know if you are save with uploading/selling images you make with FF just read their very own licence agreement.
