How many sims have railroads/railways? I only wish a guesstimate.

most of Caldon (~20 regions?), Babbage has trolley cars on at least 3 IIRC, NewToulouse has them on two, mainland has probabaly a dozen or so more... there's an inworld group for SLRR which you might want to ask in... those are the only ones I'm aware of offhand

I think there have to be 100 or more.

Mainland has way more than a dozen.

There's the SL RR run by the Lindens (originally started by Eric and Ben Linden and developed by Nigel Linden, all gone now, Nigel died in real life, he was a great man who did a lot for Second Life).

There are a lot of sims on the Atoll Continent Heterocetera or whatever they call it with that toxic-waste blue-coloured sand -- I know it ends in Tuliptree and goes through all those sims nearby like Obscure, etc. In Tuliptree you can see the resident-made rail line too.

Recently I found a cool Japanese resident-made rail line that starts in Burns, beautifully made.

Maybe Michael Linden of the Department of Public Works could give a scientific answer, but he may only count the Linden-made ones.

Many, many mainland sims have rails running through them.  You can hop on an automated train and take a ride or get your own train.  To view maps and the rail systems, you can go here:

It is on Zindra, an adult mainland, but as long as you are an adult you should be able to rez there.  The LM takes you into the small display area so you need not expose yourself to anything else on Zindra if you do not care to do so.

Best guess... hmmm SLRR has 81 sims on the Heterocera Atoll. ONSR 13 sims and GSLR about 7 or 8.

Then there are other like the new private railway lines like WARR and JERS with at the moment about 12 sims together.

Lionheart estates, Steeltopia, Hobo Junction, Hobo sim, Nova Albion, Bay City, etc etc etc.

So my best guess would be about 200 sims have some form of railway / railroad / tramway / Monorail on them.
