Login failed

When I try to login to 1.23 I get the message "Login failed.  Second Life cannot be accessed from this computer."  I tried resetting modem & router, & rebooting. No luck.  What next?

It is a ban, but if you haven`t had an email saying that you are banned it could be a mistake.

If you are a premium member, speak to LiveChat and they will fix it very fast (I`ve had it myself and they are very good at sorting it out).

If you are not premium, submit a ticket.

I am having the same issues. I have done everything, submitted two tickets (not a premium member) and still nothing

Its annoying for sure, usually it happens when an IP gets banned & your computer gets randomly assigned that IP. You would think that if you restarted your compter enough times and got a different IP it would unblock it, but that didn`t work for me. You could try it and see if that works for you. When I spoke to LiveChat, they got a tech to tweak something & then when I restarted my puter it was fine.

 

With tickets you are at the mercy of the backlog, hopefully they won`t take to long to get to yours.

How do I change the IP? But I can access my account from my laptop? I dont get it

Most computers have a dynamic IP so its not always the same one when you restart it, you can click on your network connection to get the status window and click "details" to see your IP address, so you can tell when it is different.

Please start your own thread explaining what your login problem is & what error message you are getting. If you are having the same problem as SixofEight & Mercedes, reinstalling won`t help, you need to contact support.

@ Mercedes There is no way to know how long any ticket will take to be actioned.
