Uh, so leave the group?

Permission is granted within Group Roles, you do not get control of this and group owners don't need to ask. If you don't want to pay, your only option is to leave.

There's no need to use capslock all the time, but especially when it's an issue that costs you like a cent.

Relax.  L$2 is less than one penny a week and it's your fair share of what it costs the club to advertize in Search.  If you can't afford to pay a penny to belong to the club, go somewhere else.
