greetings Shiva,

You also have to consider that Franks has over 22,000 members and for the most part have something going on 24/7, (DJs and live singers).....check out other venue's where you like the music, join the group and find out when their events are. I'm sure that you will find that other clubs are chatty and friendly to you too.

Keep in mind to that if you are arriving at the very beginning of a set/event....that employee's are working doing, IMs, group notices, conferences......a good hostess will great you asap and try to make you feel comfortable. Give some places a chance.

Kind Regards,

Josephine

If the Freedom of Speech is taken away then dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter.

Yeah, because George Washington shivered through the winter at Valley Forge for the freedom to hit a button that would spam out "RUUUUUGGGGBBBBAAAA!!!!!"

I didn't realise that freedom of speech applied to animals . . .

I think that the less chatty places are the discos! Maybe music is too loud lol

More that many Sl Clubs have become "staged shows" - a DJ and host on a stage, and the "audience" is facing them on a dancefloor.

There may or may not be an event.

To the corners there might be dancers.

Everything is there for you to watch and listen. But not join in. This kind of physical layout by its very nature makes visitors into an audience rather than social gathering.

More chatty clubs are either very old and established before the had this layout, or arranged with no central focal point for you to watch. Sometimes the "DJ" is not even obviously located. In such places you are not there to listen to somebody else's iTunes selection, but to socialize with each other. So the host and DJ are de-emphasized.

- That non-focal layout used to be common in SL, now its quite rare.

Hi,

Check out Harry Frychester's shows and his wife Pippa Exonar's shows. They are wonderful singers and people are really friendly . They play at the Flume Jazz Club on Mondays. Voodoo Bayou is a blues club with wonderful peole there who like to include people in chats.  Have fun.
