How do I get rid of the white default clothes on my avatar

If you are asking for the underwear clothes of the default avatars, you cannot. That underwear is "drawed" in your skin. You must change your skin. You can find many free skins inworld or in the Marketplace.

In your Inventory is a Library folder. There are several outfits in there. You can pick and choose to Wear items or click and hold on a folder and drag it from your inventory onto your avatar.

 

The white is a Skin like Irene said, just adding clothes you'll still be white.

There are skins in your Library folder to.

 

Ok, Shape is your body shape, skin is the covering, so to say. 2 parts Clothing is the third part, for most.

try typing worn in inventory, looking in the current outfit folder in V2 or worn items tab if your viewer has one if these default clothes are not showing as worn your skin has a underwear modesty layer drawn on the skin you can easily remove this by acquiring a new skin these won't have the underwear modesty built in unless the skin designer has made them part of the skin

Hi, Sevitta! You can't remove the default white jammies from your default skin, but you can acquire new skin! Not only will you be able to run around your private new home clothes-less, you will look a lot better doin it! Plus, shopping for new outfits is a blast.
