Highlight option in the forums

When viewing a forum thread, I noticed under options on the right side of the post, there is a "highlight" option.  Does anyone know what this feature does?

The highlight option is only available under forum threads and not SLA, blogs or the KB so you may have looked in the wrong place.

Ya I'm thinking it's an inactive feature, like how kudos currently is, but I thought I'd check with our esteemed community!

It look slike this feature may be disabled (deliberately or otherwise) here.

I just went for a nosey on Lithiums own forums and used the "highlight" feature on a thread in their forums and it ... well ... it highlights it in a nice yellow glow! Not quite sure what the purpose is but, given that it's next to 'print' in the options menu I guess it's for highlighting a particular post when printing (or for screnshots or whatever)?

Just go to any thread and use the 'highlight' option on a post

ETA: Also noticed that OP's all appear to be highlighted as default there.

Its grouped with the options for printing & emailing over on the forum threads Nyll...I just tried it too and aside from refreshing the page it didn`t seem to do anything. Doesn`t seem to be mentioned in Community Help either.

Try the permalink on a Comment or Answer. In Forums you can click on the options menu and choose highlight. That changes the URL to that message so you can copy/paste.

Basically it changes the URL to link to a specific post rather than just the thread.
