Second Life freezes then logs me out while 'Downloading clothing.' Ideas?

Clear your cache before logging in next time.  You can do that from the menu right after you launch to viewer but before you log in.  Once you do that, log into a different sim and see if it will let you log in all the way.

This worked for me 

Just Navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR_USERNAME\AppData\Roaming and Delete the whole Secondlife folder.

it worked though this issue randomly occurs with multiple resolutions, like trial and error, as a fix

I get this now. Can only login with Phoenix.
