Tenly Posted January 12, 2015 Share Posted January 12, 2015 So in blender you can create maps by creating slice lines. for example I made a fingernail for my avatar and I know how to create slice lines so that I can unwrap it and apply textures to the unwrapped nail. But I cant figure out how to do this in mudbox as the terminology is either different or there just isnt a video showing how to do it.I know we have some mudbox folks in here...if you need some images that show what Im asking let me know. sometimes people do not understand what Im looking for without pics to explain. arton Rotaru Posted January 12, 2015 Share Posted January 12, 2015 Mudbox isn't designed for doing such UV mapping tasks. It has some sort of UV mapping functions, but these aren't suited for game ready meshes like we do for SL. You will still want to do Unwrapping stuff in a 3D Editor, like 3DS Max, Maya, Blender or dedicated UV tools. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
