linden not received paid for it and bank said it was taken. its been over a week

Your friend should check the Transaction History on her dashboard at secondlife.com >>> Account to be sure that there is no record of the transaction within the past 32 days. (She could also look at the Account Statements that are displayed in that same section of the dashboard.)  If she has just been looking at the L$ balance that shows on the screen in her viewer, that can easily be wrong.  The balance that shows in her dashboard is the only reliable one.

If she bought L$ through a third-party exchange rather than buying through the LindeX, the transaction will not appear on her SL dashboard until that exchange completes its work.  She'll have to deal with them directly.  Linden Lab is not responsible for transactions with other exchanges. 

Fund transfers to and from banks typically take up to 5-7 business days.  That's the case with bank transfers in general, not just with Linden Lab, so your friend's transaction could still be winding its way through the maze of the banking world.

Other than that, if she has a non-technical issue related to billing concerns, she can call the Linden Lab billing team at the following toll-free numbers at any time 24/7:

Besides what Rolig says, there is the whole question of a "bank" being involved.  This may be simply a language problem, or the fact that you are repeating what your friend has told you and errors getting introduced into the communication chain.

Here's the thing:  Linden Lab does not deal with banks (except for certain very large transactions like a wire transfer of $50,000 USD or more.)  They accept major credit cards or a verified PayPal account as a payment method, but NOT a bank account...because they won't wait 7 to 10 days for their money, they want it right now.

A PayPal account may be backed up by a bank account, although even here, LL much prefers it be backed by a credit card.  If your PP account IS backed up by a bank account, you must have sufficient money present in your PayPal account to cover any transactions with LL.  Once again, they will not wait for money to transfer from a RL bank account to PayPal to them.

Some of the third party $L exchanges will accept payment methods that LL does not. 

Talk to your friend again and get the exact details, or have her come ask her question here in person.  You (we/she/LL) need to know 1) whether she bought the $L here on the official Linden Exchange or from a third party seller, and 2) what payment method she used.

EDIT:  IF SHE BOUGHT THE MONEY ON THE LINDEX, it's easy to solve the "finger pointing" problem.  Scan a copy of your bank statement showing the payment to LL.  Provide the scanned copy and a copy of your Transaction Log and your Account Activity for the same time period.  Put them all in a Support Case submittal.  The bank statement shows the payment, the Transaction Log shows no $L.  QED.
