I'll echo the sentiment expressed earlier in the thread.  I don't use voice of any kind.  I feel it detracts from the SL experience, breaks the illusion, the barrier between RL and SL.  Once you're talking to someone in a real voice, even if you're not looking at them, that illusion of the avatar being the person and the vision you had of them is just shattered.  I don't use voice unless I'm teaching someone one-on-one.  Voice ruins the SL experience.
