YJH,

To begin with, nothing of value is stored on your personal PC in regards to SecondLife!

LOCAL CACHES

When your PC is having communication issues talking reliably to the Linden Lab Asset Servers, then your local copy of your inventory can become corrupted. This manifests itself as an incomplete Inventory Tree in your viewer.

This when a Clear Texture Cache and Clear Group Cache come in. These commands initialize the Local Copy of your Inventory and Texture Caches to an empty status.

Then you need to login somewhere friendly and quiet if you can. This allows the transmission of the replacement information for your texture cache and your Inventory Structure to complete quickly. After your local copy of your Inventory is built, you can carry on with your SL activities.

ASSET SERVER COMMANDS

Now, emptying your Trash is a command to the Linden Lab Asset Servers to delete the contents of your Trash folder. So whatever you have "scheduled" to be deleted by placing it in the Trash Folder is finally deleted. This is a permanent command. Once its execution is complete, those items are gone to your account.

Your texture and inventory caches will re-populate, if you clear them.  It's best to log in to an empty, low lag region like Pooley or Heckendorf and wait until your inventory is fully re-loaded.

If you empty the Trash, those items are gone, baby, gone!  No recovery is possible.
